With a background in counseling psychology and design, Troy Phillips,
a native of Oklahoma, USA, found a passion for photography as a
teen. His love for photography grew while living & studying abroad
in Japan before settling in New York City in the early 1990's.
Phillips debuted his professional photography career in 2005 with a
fine-art portrait exhibition in New York City at the prestigious
National Arts Club. Additional exhibitions continued in Osaka,
Tokyo, Toronto, NYC & Brooklyn.
Akimitsu Sadoi was born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan,
relocating to
Tokyo, then to New York City in 1990. Working with various artists,
designers and photographers through the years gained him
understanding of the creative process. With a background in
computer
science and electronics, he creates art objects with LEDs in his
free
time.
The two work as partners producing fine-art and editorial works which
have been seen in various international magazines including DNA, Blue,
Instinct, Yes, and Exercise magazines as well as books by Bruno
Gmunder & Abrams publishers. |
